Elliott Godinez (b. 1995) is a first-generation Mexican-American musician and educator who advocates for equal accessibility within music. An inner-city Chicago native, the DC-based percussionist’s musical expressions have been described as creative, emotionally charged, and thought provoking.

In 2024 he earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at George Mason University where he was selected as a winner of the GMU Concerto Competition in 2023. Elliott was a semi-finalist in the Southern California Marimba 2021 Online International Artist Competition. He has also performed at the MOXsonic Festival, the Sō Percussion Summer Institute, the Sō Percussion Collaborative Workshop, and the Steve Weiss Marimba Festival.

Elliott earned a Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music degree from Illinois State University. Currently, he teaches music in various settings throughout northern Virginia.
